Week Off
I recently completed the foundation training for a call center position I applied for. Out of the sixteen trainees, only six of us made the cut. The remaining ten were transferred to a different account. Our client happens to be a popular gaming console. Now, it's only logical that a company wouldn't invest time and resources in training just six individuals for specific product knowledge. So, we were informed that we would have to wait for the next batch of trainees. This meant we were given a week off.
To most people, a week off would be a blessing, but for me, it's a bit of a challenge. Facing an entire week with not much to do fills me with dread. If there's a term for the fear of boredom, it certainly applies to me.
Now, I'm contemplating my options. Spending a whole week at home... what should I do? Going out and about is out of the question because I'm trying to save money, and the scorching heat during this dry spell makes outdoor activities unbearable. Having a DVD marathon is also not an option due to frequent power outages caused by the dry spell as well. Eventually, I settled on reading books. It's been a while since I've dedicated time to reading, and I have quite a backlog to catch up on. As I write this, I've already finished rereading "Twilight" and "New Moon."
Apologies for the lack of updates on this blog for the past couple of weeks. I've had limited access to a computer as I'm currently staying in a place that doesn't believe in the wonders of the Internet. By the way, I impulsively colored my hair out of sheer boredom. I can't wait for this week to be over. I'm not sure what other impulsive things I might end up doing if I continue like this.
