After almost 6 years, we finally found ourselves back in Dubai Outlet Mall. This mall is in Dubailand, Dubai, UAE. It opened in 2007 and is located on the Dubai-Al Ain Road. Public transport (bus or metro) is not entirely accessible so you have to drive or take a taxi.

Our main purpose for going here was to buy my daughter a new pair of shoes for school. The mall had an ongoing sale. But in the back of my mind, there was only one store in this mall that I wanted to go to.

Comicave is a geek’s paradise. The last time I’ve been here 6 years ago, I was completely drooling from all of the collectibles they have on display. I was very excited to see how it changed in more than half a decade. They did not disappoint.The store had a whole lot of new stuff. The only few things that I saw from my last visit that are still there were the life-size Iron Man displays. Well, the fact that I cannot afford any of the stuff that I wanted there also remained the same.Here are some of the photos of me and the family there on our Outlet Mall excursion:

Here we have another movie adaptation of a book, which seems to be the prevailing trend these days. Sometimes I ponder why anyone would bother buying a book when a movie version is soon to follow. A friend of mine has a habit of watching the movie first and then reading the book for comparison. I advised her not to bother because, more often than not, the book always surpasses the movie. Watching a movie based on a book is like witnessing someone else's interpretation of the story, and that someone has to alter the context significantly. It's understandable since Hollywood has its limitations, unlike the boundless realms of our imaginations. The film's producers can't faithfully replicate the book word for word due to constraints of budget and time. So here's my advice to you: If you're a fan of the book, stick with it.
